On August 27th 2017, Tue Tam VH group together with Sen Tu Tam Group (Class of 12A1 (Scholl year 1982 – 1985) at Ngo Quyen school, Hai Phong, headed by Nguyen Kim Thuy – General Director of the Golden Mount Group) visited Dat Moi, Thanh My commune, Vinh Thanh district, Can Tho city to hold the inauguration ceremony of Tue Tam 08 bridge.
This is the 8th charity bridge which was sponsored by Tue Tam VH and sponsored for poor people in Western provinces. The previous bridges were built in Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Ben Tre … This Tue Tam 08 bridge is serving daily travel for more than 1000 people.
At 11 pm noon, the representatives of the commune together with the representatives of Tue Tam VH and Ms. Nguyen Kim Thuy cut the inauguration ribbon for Tue Tam 08 bridge.
At the ceremony, with the full presence of local people, the Vice Chairman of the Commune People’s Committee announced details of the construction process and the use of bridge funding while expressing appreciation of the commune authorities and people before the attention of donors.
The charity group also gave scholarships to 08 poor pupils who are good at studying in the local area. Each gift includes 1 millions in cash, 10 notebooks, 1 Tue Tam VH glass and 02 warm clothes. The group also sent to Commune People’s Committee 10 anniversary gifts.
This bridge before the construction of grafted wood has been severely degraded, the bridge has no railing on both sides and the risk of breaking down at any time, especially dangerous as this is the road leading to school of the children there. Therefore, when Tue Tam 08 bridge was built spacious, stable (bridge length 26m wide 2.4m load 2T, duration of using of 30 years), local people are very happy and appreciative, Congratulations to the delegation for the inauguration ceremony, mothers and sisters were busy doing the dishes and delicious vegetarian meals.
Seeing the radiant joy of the relatives of the children and children there when they are walking in the beautiful bridge safely, the charity group is delighted. It seems to be how much tired of the long journey from the morning vanished.
There are many places in this country where exists difficult life and many old and degraded bridges, small children daily to school on the bridge, life-threatening. We are looking forward to the continued support of the strong people, hold hands to build more bridges, do more good things, continue to help people overcome difficulties, improving their life.
